Kerry Foods Exercise

This Exercise was done in Kerry Foods Meat Factory

In Shillelagh, County Wicklow

It recreated a chemical spill which had to be dealt with by wearing Gas Tight Chemical Suites.

It also involved Fire-Fighting and Search & Rescue Procedure of persons reported missing, which were dealt with by the crews wearing Breathing Apparatus.

It Was One of the first Incidents where we were using

I.C.S. ( Incident Command Support) and

B.A.E.C.O. ( Breathing Apparatus Entry Control Officer )

Boards at the same time.

Fire Crews from Carnew WW19A1 and Tinahely WW21A1 were in attendance at the exercise.

Carnew also had WW19K1 Water Tanker in Attendance.

In this years Saint Patrick's Day Parade 2011 in Carnew,

We had On Show A 1963 Land Rover on loan from Tinahely Fire Station,

Our Own WW19A1 Alpha 1- 2002 Scania 94D / Excalibur Wrl.

And our WW19K1 Water Tanker 1996 ERF ES6 Water Tanker,

And Our Small 2003 Vauxhall Combo Van .

Saint Patricks Day 17th March 2010

We had this 1963 Land Rover in this years Parade , it was originally in service in Greystones where it was bought brand new.

It is now in Tinahely Fire station, but obviously not in use today.

Also in the parade were our :

Small Van: 2002 Ford Transit Van

We also had a 1991 Mercedes Training Appliances on show.
